Is the Sex main reason of Yeast Infection in woman?

Hi, I’m 30 years old woman lives in United States and have been suffering from yeast infections for last three months. I did everything for giving up my problem but I’ve failed to do that. I think this happened due to sex. Is this true? My friend said that it happens caused by a group of microscopic fungi that comes after more sex which is called sometimes yeast.
